Project Overview

SJ1 Renewables delivered this project in partnership with long-standing client Southwest Solar Parks Ltd. By the time we became involved, the project already had planning permission, land agreements and grid connection approvals in place.

Our role was to take the scheme through final design, technical specification, procurement support and delivery coordination, ensuring that the installation could proceed efficiently, reliably and to a high technical standard.

System Design

Using PVSyst, SJ1 Renewables developed a layout that maximised energy generation while remaining within the permitted site area and the limits of the grid connection offer.

Detailed electrical schematics and technical specifications were then produced to support procurement, construction and final installation.

DELIVERY

Procurement, Installation & Commissioning

Following design approval, SJ1 Renewables developed the full technical specification for the scheme, covering everything from 11 kV high-voltage single-line diagrams and LV switchgear through to field-mounted inverters and final DC array layout.

We supported procurement and supplier coordination for key components including the transformer, switchgear, GRP housing, inverters, Tier 1 PV modules and mounting system, while sequencing internal and third-party installation teams to keep the project on programme.

Project Outcome

The completed system is estimated to generate approximately 649,580 kWh of electricity per year, providing long-term stable renewable generation and strengthening the client’s growing solar portfolio.

The project was completed on time, within budget and to a high standard, with the system operational ahead of key tariff changes and ready to deliver reliable performance from day one.
